Main Structure of a Concrete Batching Plant
The core of a concrete batching plant consists of five major systems, forming a complete closed loop from material storage, weighing, conveying, mixing to central control.
Five Core Systems
• Material Storage System: Aggregate silos (sand and stone storage), cement silos (cement/fly ash storage), water tanks, and admixture pools, all stored separately and in sealed containers.
• Material Conveying System: Aggregates are conveyed by belt conveyors/bucket elevators; powder materials are conveyed by screw conveyors; water and admixtures are pumped.
• Material Weighing System: Each aggregate, powder, water, and admixture is equipped with a weighing hopper and sensors, enabling high-precision cumulative weighing to ensure accurate proportions.
• Mixing System: The core is a twin-shaft forced mixer, including a mixing cylinder, arms/blades, transmission, and lubrication seals, ensuring efficient mixing.
• Control System: A PLC + industrial computer central hub for real-time monitoring, formula management, data traceability, and safety interlocks.
Ancillary and Supporting Components
• Pneumatic system, dust removal equipment, steel structure frame, unloading hopper, and mixer truck receiving platform.
Typical Process
Feeding → Conveying → Weighing → Mixing in the main unit → Discharging and loading into tank trucks; the central control unit coordinates the synchronous operation of all stages throughout the process.
