Filter Press (Brief Introduction)
A filter press is a commonly used industrial solid-liquid separation device that uses pressure to separate solids and liquids in slurry or mud.
Work Process: Press the filter plates tightly → Pump in the material → Liquid passes through the filter cloth and flows out, while solids remain between the plates to form a filter cake → After completion, open the plates and unload the dry filter cake.
Common Types:
1. Plate and Frame Type: Simple structure, low price, mostly used in small-scale operations.
2. Chamber Type: Mainstream model, high pressure, strong processing capacity.
3. Diaphragm Type: Allows for secondary pressing, resulting in a lower moisture content and drier filter cake.
4. Belt Type: Continuous operation, suitable for large-scale sludge treatment.
Widely used in wastewater treatment, mining, chemical, building materials, food and other industries, its main functions are dewatering and volume reduction, reducing waste transportation and treatment costs.
